Role Overview

As the Head of India Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of Jobiak's operations in India. This includes leading a team of 60+ employees, driving product development and maintenance, ensuring platform stability, and delivering exceptional customer service. Your primary goal is to transform the current team into a highly productive machine that consistently meets and exceeds corporate objectives. To start with, the Innovation/ R&D team based out of Hyderabad will not be reporting to this role.


Key Responsibilities

  • Team Management and Development:
  • Leadership: Lead and manage a team of 60+ employees across various functions including product development, data analysis, QA, customer service, finance, and HR. Foster a high-performance culture that values innovation, collaboration, and results-oriented execution.
  • Talent Development: Identify and develop talent within the team to ensure continuous growth and succession planning. Provide mentorship, coaching, and training opportunities to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
  • Performance Management: Establish clear performance expectations and goals for team members. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to support their professional development.
  • Product Development and Maintenance:
  • Product Roadmap: Oversee the development and maintenance of the Jobiak platform, ensuring it aligns with the product roadmap and delivers optimal performance. Work closely with the product team to identify and implement new features and enhancements that drive value for customers.
  • Platform Stability: Monitor platform performance and stability to ensure a seamless user experience. Proactively address any technical issues or bugs to minimize downtime and disruptions.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement robust quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the platform's features. Conduct regular testing and audits to identify and resolve defects.
  • Data Analysis and ML:
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Drive data-driven decision-making by leveraging data analytics and machine learning techniques. Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform product development, business strategy, and operational efficiency.
  • ML Model Development: Implement ML models to improve candidate matching, job recommendations, and other key platform features. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning to ensure the platform remains competitive.
  • Data Quality: Ensure the quality and integrity of the data used for analysis and modeling. Develop data governance policies and procedures to maintain data accuracy and consistency.
  • Customer Service:
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure exceptional customer service throughout the customer lifecycle, from onboarding to support. Meet and exceed customer service level agreements (SLAs) and industry benchmarks for customer satisfaction (CSAT).
  • Customer Experience: Develop and implement strategies to improve the overall customer experience. Gather customer feedback and insights to identify areas for improvement and address customer pain points.
  • Customer Support: Provide timely and effective customer support to resolve inquiries and issues. Ensure that support teams have the necessary tools and resources to deliver high-quality service.
  • Financial Performance:
  • Financial Management: Manage the India operations budget and ensure profitability. Drive revenue growth, maintain a minimum gross margin of 50%, and achieve half-yearly productivity gains of at least 5%.
  • Cost Optimization: Optimize operational costs and identify opportunities for cost savings. Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service levels.
  • Financial Reporting: Provide accurate and timely financial reporting to senior management. Analyze financial data to identify trends, assess performance, and make informed decisions.
  • HR/Admin/Legal:
  • HR Management: Oversee HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that attracts and retains top talent.
  • Administrative Operations: Manage administrative tasks such as facilities, procurement, and legal compliance. Ensure that operations run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Legal Compliance: Ensure adherence to local labor laws and regulations. Stay informed of changes in labor laws and regulations to maintain compliance.
  • Process Improvement and Automation:
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency through automation. Implement tools and technologies that enhance productivity and streamline operations.
  • Automation: Drive a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Encourage team members to suggest process improvements and explore automation opportunities.
  • Technology Adoption: Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and tools. Evaluate and implement new technologies that can improve operational efficiency and deliver value to the business.


Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience as a Head of Operations or a similar senior leadership role in a technology company.
  • Strong understanding of the job tech industry and AI-powered platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage high-performing teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
  • Proven track record of delivering results and driving operational excellence.
